[Poll] Dice Used To Resolve the Use of Thieving Skills

I have posted a new poll. I am curious to see what dice the Labyrinth Lord players out there use to resolve the use of thieving skills. As written the game uses a percentile system for thieving. I know it has become popular to replace this system with the use of a d6. And I am sure there are those out there that have implemented the use of a d20. My guess is that this is a holdover from 3rd Edition D&D or some other d20 based system, like Castles & Crusades. I look forward to seeing the results.

I voted 'other.' I use a d20, but not like 3rd ed.; instead I roll under the attribute score to succeed.

Anyone can attempt thieving skills, but Thieves get to add their level to their attribute score, so they eventually become a lot better at it than laymen.

We use btb percentiles. I don't necessarily endorse this, but I haven't seen anything significantly better come along. Raggi's d6 "Specialist" system looks pretty good, but it's not such a huge improvement that I'd want to drastically change my campaign rules midstream.

I use percentile because that's how it is in the rules, so it's just easier despite it seeming awkward statistically and mechanically.

I'd prefer it if the by-the-book thief rules used the same die type as other classes, but thieves were just better at it.

I've been using %, but only out of habit. I've always had the notion that thieves' skills were something beyond what other classes were capable of, i.e. anyone can move quietly, but a thief can sometimes move silently. So if a thief misses a Move Silently roll, he is still moving fairly quietly. Equipment obviously makes a big difference with this distinction, too.

I might move to a d6 only mechanic, though I also like Sean's d20 method. That seems pretty smooth.
